​State Oppression Is a Feature, Not a Bug

Governments are working exactly as their controllers intend them to work.

The governmental system as it now exists practically everywhere on earth is designed for the purpose of giving its controllers the power to oppress, abuse, and plunder other people. It's doing so is not a malfunction, not a foul-up, not a deviation from its central tendency. Governments as we know them are not created by accident. They are created with great deliberation by people willing to murder and rob others in order to control a society, or at least as much of a society as necessary for the attainment of their purposes.

All notions of government to the contrary are fairy tales or propaganda aimed at bamboozling the victims. People keep saying that "the true purpose of government" is to protect people's lives, liberties, and property, but it's simply not true. If it were, governments would be nothing like what we see them to be now and to have been for thousands of years. Rulers constantly make excuses and offer rationales for their destructive actions and claim credit for benefits that are none of their doing, but as Matthew 7:16 alerts us, "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"
